Dr.Jeffrey L. CummingsJeffrey L. Cummings, MD, ScD, is Founding Director, Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, Nevada and Cleveland, Ohio. He is Professor of Medicine (Neurology), Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Cummings is Principal Investigator/Director of the NIH/NIGMS-funded Center for Neurodegeneration and Translational Neuroscience.
Dr. Cummings is a world-renowned Alzheimer’s researcher and leader of clinical trials. He has been recognized for his research and leadership contributions in the field of Alzheimer’s disease through the Henderson Award of the American Geriatrics Society (2006), the Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Award of the national Alzheimer’s Association (2008), and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Society for Behavioral and Cognitive Neurology (2017). In 2010, he was honored by the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry with their Distinguished Scientist Award. In 2018, he was honored with the Leadership and Achievement Award by the International Society of CNS Drug Development, and he received the Bengt Winblad Lifetime Achievement Award from the national Alzheimer’s Association. He was featured in the Gentleman’s Quarterly (June 2009) as a “Rock Star of Science.”
Dr. Cummings’ interests embrace clinical trials, developing new therapies for brain diseases, and the interface of neuroscience and society.
Dr. Cummings completed Neurology residency and a Fellowship in Behavioral Neurology at Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts. US training was followed by a Research Fellowship in Neuropathology and Neuropsychiatry at the National Hospital for Nervous Diseases, Queen Square, London, England. Dr. Cummings was formerly Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at UCLA, Director of the Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Research at UCLA, and Director of the Deane F. Johnson Center for Neurotherapeutics at UCLA. He is past president of the Behavioral Neurology Society and of the American Neuropsychiatric Association.
Dr. Cummings has authored or edited 43 books and published over 725 peer-reviewed papers.
Dr. William G. Ondo is the director of the Movement Disorders Clinic at the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute. Dr. Ondo has been in practice for nearly 20 years and specializes in diagnosis, treatment and research of Parkinson’s disease, essential tremors, the use of botulinum toxins in treating movement disorders, and restless legs syndrome. Dr. Ondo earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia before completing an internship at the University of North Carolina Hospital, a neurology residency at Duke University, and a movement disorders fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in adult neurology and sleep medicine. He has authored more than 250 original articles and book chapters as well as edited two books on movement disorders. He currently serves as the president of the Tremor Research Group.
Dr. Ross D. Zafonte
Dr. Ross D. Zafonte is Earle P. and Ida S. Charlton Professor and Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. He also serves as chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mass General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, as well as Senior Vice President Medical Affairs Research and Education at Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. Dr. Zafonte’s textbook is considered one of the standards in the field of brain injury care. Dr. Zafonte’s work is presently funded by the NIH, DOD and NIDRR, and he is currently directing several large clinical treatment trials. His laboratory work has focused on understanding mechanisms of recovery after Brain and Spinal Cord Injury.
He has published extensively on traumatic brain injuries, spasticity, and other neurological disorders, as well as presented on these topics at conferences nationally and internationally. He is the author of more than 300 peer review journal articles, abstracts and book chapters.
He is also on the editorial board of the Journal of Neurotrauma, and NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation. He previously served on the founding editorial board of PMR. In 2006, Dr. Zafonte was selected to receive the Walter Zeiter award and lectureship by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and, in 2008, he was the recipient of the Association of Academic Physiatrists Distinguished Academician Award. In 2012, Dr. Zafonte received the William Caveness award for outstanding clinical care and research from the Brain Injury Association of America, and, in 2013, he received the Joel DeLisa Prize from the Kessler Foundation. In 2014 Dr Zafonte will receive the Moody prize for Brain Injury research and care

Dr. Gregory L Peck, DO, is a General Surgery specialist in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He attended and graduated from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in 2006, having over 13 years of diverse experience, especially in General Surgery.
